The Chainlink team announced via Twitter on Monday that its node software v1.3.0 has been released. It added that this release focuses on improving the cost efficiency, performance, and reliability of Chainlink oracle nodes. The new update sees the support EIP-1559 for the Ethereum mainnet, which could lead to fewer reverted transactions, faster inclusion times, and reduced gas costs for node operators during and after gas price spikes. Furthermore, Chainlink said a new database locking mode called "lease" is now available for node operators. Lease enhances the failover process for multiple Chainlink nodes connected to a single database, improving uptime and network resilience.

Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof inputs and outputs of data for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is up by more than 4% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $13.87 at press time.
