Chainlink announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Monday that Chainlink Data Streams have officially launched on the Arbitrum mainnet. Chainlink Data Streams supply high-frequency market data using decentralized infrastructure.

This innovation enables dApps like DeFi derivatives to create secure user experiences that rival CEXs with unprecedented onchain execution speed. Data Streams are low-latency oracles serving an offchain stream of high-fidelity market data at a sub-second frequency. They also offer automation infrastructure that monitors for transactions, retrieves offchain data, and bundles them with orders for settlement.

Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof inputs and outputs of data for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is down by 4% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $7.557 at press time.

Arbitrum is a suite of scaling solutions on Ethereum that utilize Optimistic Rollup. It allows users to enjoy faster speed and cheaper transaction costs when interacting with web3 dApps. ARB, the native coin of the Arbitrum network, is down by 2% today and is trading at $0.9396.
