Chainlink announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday that Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is now live on the Base mainnet, a fast and highly scalable layer-2 blockchain incubated by Coinbase and secured by Ethereum.

Thanks to this latest news, developers on Base now have access to the most secure and easy-to-use interoperability protocol for building cross-chain applications and services.

Chainlink’s CCIP CCIP provides onchain developers with a secure, easy-to-use interface to build secure applications that can send messages, transfer tokens, and initiate actions across blockchains.

Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof inputs and outputs of data for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is up by 5% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $7.767 at press time.
