The Celo team announced via Twitter on Tuesday that its Flan hard fork will activate today, November 9th. The hard fork will activate at block height 16068685. Only network validators would be required to take part in the hard fork as it doesn’t affect the users. Celo urged validators to upgrade both their validator nodes and proxies to v.1.7.0 ahead of the upgrade.
Celo is an open platform that supports various distributed applications, smart contract development and payments using e-mail addresses and phone numbers as public keys. CELO is down by more than 16% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.553.
