The Ethereum Cancun Upgrade is scheduled for September 27th. Ethereum's upcoming upgrade, codenamed Ethereum Cancun-Deneb or Dencun for short, is set to bring substantial improvements to the Ethereum blockchain. This upgrade has ambitious goals to boost the network's scalability, bolster security measures, and enhance overall usability.

One of the standout features in Dencun is the introduction of Proto-Danksharding, which serves as an interim step toward full Danksharding. This innovative approach is anticipated to significantly reduce gas fees and increase transaction throughput by harnessing data 'blobs'.

This upgrade lays a solid foundation for the future evolution of the Ethereum network, positioning it closer to achieving its goal of becoming a globally scalable and user-friendly transaction platform.
