On Tuesday, the Stellar Org announced via X that BVNK is expanding multi-chain stablecoin infrastructure with Stellar integration.
The integration brings together leading stablecoin infrastructure provider BVNK, which processes $39B in annualized volume, and Stellar, the network that processed $55.6B in payment volume in 2025. It gives BVNK’s customers an additional route for moving stablecoins globally, while enabling businesses to access multiple blockchain networks through a single API. This abstracts much of the technical complexity of connecting to individual blockchain networks.
BVNK’s customers can now access Stellar’s network for high-volume cross-border payments, merchant payouts, and treasury disbursements.
BVNK will offer payments teams another high-efficiency settlement route, all through a single integration. BVNK acts as the infrastructure layer connecting the stablecoin ecosystem, abstracting underlying blockchain complexity so businesses can access new rails without the engineering burden of building separate integrations or re-platforming as they scale.
This integration, which connects BVNK customers to Stellar today, can also be extended to additional Stellar-native assets over time as BVNK adds support for them – without additional work needed on the customer's side.
Stellar is an open-source network with the mission to "create equitable access to the global financial system." Stellar is maintained by the Stellar Development Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 2014.
The Stellar network is a decentralized, fast, scalable, and uniquely sustainable blockchain built for financial products and services. The network launched in 2014 with the purpose of connecting the world's financial systems by offering a protocol for payment providers and financial institutions that facilitates near-instant global payments and currency exchanges. In 2024, Stellar released Protocol 20, enabling full-featured smart contracts on the network. The network is transforming international payments and remittances through safer, faster, and more affordable solutions, and connecting real-world assets to DeFi to enable comprehensive everyday financial services.
The Stellar network’s native digital currency - Lumens (“XLM”) - is used to pay the network’s transaction fees. (XLM can also be used as an intermediate currency for operations. How it works: the protocol converts money in a few seconds, first into XLM, and then into the requested currency.)
XLM is up 3.9% in the last 24 hours and now trades at $0.2186 per coin.
