Bubblemaps Launches Intel Desk to Allow Users to Expose Crypto Scams

Cryptocurrency scams have drained individuals and protocols of billions of dollars in recent years. According to Chainalysis, 2024 saw illicit cryptocurrency addresses receive a total of $40.9 billion

While the hack of crypto platforms (most notably Bybit) accounted for 61% of the total amount stolen in the crypto space, protocols and individuals also lost billions of dollars to hackers and scammers.

Bubblemaps is now launching a solution that would allow users to expose crypto scams and earn rewards in the process.

Bubblemaps Launches Intel Desk

Bubblemaps, the onchain intelligence layer, has announced the launch of Intel Desk. In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, the team said this new platform allows crypto sleuths to earn rewards for exposing scams, rugs, and suspicious activity in real time.

To explain it excellently, Bubblemap stated that Intel Desk turns Twitter threads that usually get buried in timelines into a permanent hub for investigations - transforming community sleuthing into structured, incentivized intelligence.

The new platform is launching this month and is building on the work shared publicly by sleuths on social media. Over the years, these community contributions have served as a distributed warning system, often faster than traditional firms, as seen with cases like the Bybit hack, Hayden Davis’ activity, or Hawk Tuah girl token launch.

With Intel Desk, this shared knowledge will gain structure and provide users with actionable insight.

Intel Desk to Deploy a Rating System

Intel Desk will employ a rating system to ensure that quality submissions are elevated while poor or unverifiable content is downgraded. This will help users to distinguish signal from noise.

While commenting on this launch, Nicolas Vaiman, founder and CEO of Bubblemaps, said,

“We’re seeing millions of tokens launched on-chain, but the infra for verifying and investigating them hasn’t kept pace. Intel Desk gives crypto’s on-chain detectives a system to coordinate investigations, surface patterns, and help the industry respond faster to threats. As trading speeds up and trust crumbles, structured transparency has to become the default.”

The platform ranks user contributions based on impact, reach, and timing. Intel Desk will give recognition to the individuals who find and share breaking on-chain stories first. The platform will be powered by the  $BMT token, which lets the community decide what matters.

Users can stake the token to vote on which cases get attention, boosting their visibility and impact. The more BMT tokens a case gets, the higher its multiplier, increasing the rewards for the contributors.

Bubblemaps allows traders, analysts, and protocols to trace tokens, detect insider behavior, and explore wallet networks in real time.
