BLUR Rallies By 60% This Week
BLUR, the native token of the Blur NFT marketplace, is the best performer amongst the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap this week. The token has added 60% to its value over the last seven days, outperforming the other major cryptocurrencies.
It is also up by 8% in the last 24 hours, making it one of the top performers in the market cap. The rally comes following Blur’s recent airdrop reward distribution. The NFT marketplace allocated a total reward pool of 300 million tokens, worth around $146 million, for traders who use their platform.
A pseudonymous nonfungible token (NFT) trader made around $11 million from the airdrop event. The rally has seen BLUR overtake several cryptocurrencies and now ranks 77th in terms of market cap. BLUR’s total market cap stands at $602 million.
With the market experiencing a mixed reaction, Bitcoin continues to maintain its price above the $37k region. At press time, the price of Bitcoin stands at $37,322, down by less than 1% in the last 24 hours.
ADA, Cardano’s native coin, is the best performer amongst the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap. It is up by 3% in the last few hours and could soon reach the $0.40 psychological level.
The total cryptocurrency market cap remains at $1.42 trillion despite adding less than 1% to its value.
