The Avalanche team announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday that Blockticity has minted certifications on Avalanche for goods totalling over $275M. Blockticity is a platform that provides certificates of authenticity for the most valuable of possessions.
Blockticity prints a QR code on the products following third-party testing. This code links to a Certificate of Analysis minted as an Avalanche NFT.
Scanning the code shows the NFT, and that the certification is authentic, giving confidence to vendors, patients, and consumers, the Avalanche team added.
Furthermore, the system will also be used for any number of products in need of verified provenance.
The group already plans to use Avalanche NFTs to certify sugar, sneakers, fruit, meat, and more, bringing greater confidence to consumers and suppliers across the globe.
