Bitcoin Trades Above $30k As Bitcoin Holders Reach New Record

Bitcoin continues to trade above the $30k psychological level as wallets holding 1 BTC reach a new all-time high.

Bitcoin Holders Attain A New Record

The world’s leading cryptocurrency by market cap has maintained its value above $30k over the past 24 hours. Bitcoin rallied to the $31k level on Monday before retracing some of its gains.

At press time, the price of Bitcoin stands at $30,591 per coin. The positive performance comes as the market continues to set new records. 

Data obtained from Glassnode revealed that the number of wallets holding at least one bitcoin has reached an all-time high of 1,008,737 million. The data also indicates an increased decentralization within the Bitcoin network. 

Bitcoin’s mini rally over the last 24 hours saw the total cryptocurrency market cap reach the $1.19 trillion mark once again.

Ether, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, is also up by more than 1% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $1,883 per coin. BNB, the native coin of the Binance ecosystem, is the best performer amongst the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap, adding more than 6% to its value over the last few hours.

Polygon outperformed the other major cryptocurrencies, adding roughly 10% to its value in the past 24 hours. MATIC’s rally came after Polygon entered into a strategic partnership with Dock.
