Binance Academy has entered into a strategic partnership with Blockchain Center and the two entities are set to expand their blockchain educational program to educate over a million students globally by 2026.

Binance Academy, the open-access blockchain and crypto learning hub of Binance, has entered into a strategic partnership with Blockchain Center, an independent international non-profit research laboratory that fosters talent development in the blockchain industry through education worldwide.

The two entities announced today that their blockchain educational program will now be expanded globally under the name of The Global University Outreach Program. The program was initially launched in universities in Kazakhstan and it aims to integrate Web3 education into the curricula of over 200 universities across more than 50 countries, with a core focus on blockchain engineering and compliance.

Blockchain Center and Binance Academy now seek to provide specialized training to over 1,000 university educators. They also intend to create a comprehensive academic knowledge bank, which would facilitate the integration of blockchain engineering and compliance courses into existing educational programs. The initiative is projected to educate more than one million students by 2026.

While commenting on this latest development, Aidana Kaskyrbek, CEO and founder of the Blockchain Center, said,

"Blockchain Center's goal is to accelerate the adoption of blockchain technology by stimulating the growth of the human capital in the industry. We are proud of our groundbreaking educational initiative, which will significantly enhance talent development in the industry. The project offers a robust platform for aspiring professionals to explore, experiment, and innovate new solutions in the field."

The project comprises two educational programs: Blockchain Engineering and Blockchain Compliance.

The Blockchain Engineering track introduces learners to the core topics in distributed ledger technology, aiming to empower them with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to excel as blockchain engineers.

It is a 20-week course that will use a holistic approach to understanding blockchain development, including BNB Chain fundamentals, Web3, and Solidity development.

Furthermore, the 13-week Blockchain Compliance program is designed to form a solid understanding of issues and opportunities at the intersection of blockchain and regulatory policy.

This course covers the key aspects of blockchain compliance. It also incorporates an analysis of various existing global regulatory frameworks, explores legal challenges, and provides insights into potential future governance models for digital assets.

Blockchain Center is using a comprehensive methodology in its country selection process, which spans Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Binance Academy, on the other hand, is instrumental in driving the growth of the Global University Outreach Program by harnessing its expansive network of educational institutions and educators across the globe. To provide a richer educational experience, Binance Academy will facilitate guest lectures by tapping into its extensive roster of industry experts and thought leaders.

Yi He, co-founder of Binance added,

“In the rapidly changing world of digital finance, blockchain education is a key pillar for driving transformation. Through this educational initiative, Binance Academy and Blockchain Center will cultivate a new generation of skillful talents poised to propel our industry forward and ignite innovation. Let's keep building.”

Blockchain Center and Binance Academy joined forces to develop specialized training for educators. The program trained over 300 educators, and this fall, 4,000 Kazakhstani students embarked on their blockchain studies, the teams added.

Binance Academy is a leading blockchain and cryptocurrency education platform featuring over 1,000 articles and glossary entries, plus courses on blockchain, cryptocurrencies, Web3, and more.

Meanwhile, Blockchain Center is an independent non-profit research lab that contributes to the blockchain industry's advancement through education, research, and development.

Binance is the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider with a financial product suite that includes the largest digital asset exchange by volume.
