Axie Infinity’s Mee6 Bot Gets Compromised

The Axie Infinity team announced via Twitter on Tuesday that its Mee6 bot was compromised.

The Axie Infinity team announced via Twitter on Tuesday that its Mee6 bot was compromised. The attackers used that bot to add permissions to a fake Jiho account, which then posted a fake announcement about a mint, Axie Infinity added. Joho is the co-founder of the Axie Infinity project.

The team said the messages have been deleted and the Mee6 bot has been removed. 

Axie Infinity is a Pokémon-inspired digital pet universe built on the Ethereum blockchain where anyone can earn token rewards through skilled gameplay and contributions to the ecosystem.

AXS, the native token of the Axie Infinity ecosystem, is up by more than 2% today and currently trades at $20.73
