In a tweet on Thursday, the Algorand Foundation announced that it had partnered with Climate Ride, a community of adventurers dedicated to protecting the planet. The Algorand Foundation said it is committing $15M over five years to Climate Ride and contributing $500K annually for program expansion.
Algorand is an open-source, permissionless, Pure Proof-of-Stake (PPoS) blockchain protocol for “the next generation of financial products”. As such, Algorand ensures "full participation, protection and speed within a truly decentralized network".
ALGO is trading at $0.7352 at press time, down by more than 2% in the last 24 hours.
