HBAR Foundation, the development team behind the Hedera blockchain, announced via a blog post on Tuesday that AID:Tech, a leader in blockchain-based digital identity solutions, will launch a new digital wallet solution on the Hedera network.

The platform will provide users with digital identities (DIDs) and verifiable credentials, in turn helping drive financial inclusion to the underserved and underrepresented in Asia. As a wallet, the platform provides a secure way for users to store their funds without having to rely on traditional banking systems or third-party intermediaries, the HBAR Foundation added.

Hedera Hashgraph is distributed public ledger infrastructure. According to the team, it offers significant improvements over existing blockchains in five areas: performance, security, governance, stability, and regulatory compliance. HBAR is trading at $0.0632 at press time, down by 3% over the last 24 hours.
