The Aave team announced via Twitter on Friday that they have temporarily paused the minting of new GHO stablecoins. The minting was paused for Aave to fix an integration issue, and a new AIP is in the works. No funds are at risk, and all other markets are unaffected and operating as normal, the team added.

Aave protocol is a decentralized, open-source, and non-custodial money market protocol. Depositors earn interest by providing liquidity to lending pools, while borrowers can obtain overcollateralized loans by using the liquidity from these pools. AAVE is trading at $56.77 per token, down by 1% in the last 24 hours.
