The Polygon Labs team announced via X on Wednesday that Witness Chain is building the DePIN Coordination Layer (DCL) with Polygon CDK and connecting to the AggLayer to unify DePIN economies on Ethereum.

The Witness Chain ZK L2 will establish a consensus and verification protocol for the physical state of DePINs. Polygon added that the DCL will form a dynamic supply chain, pooling resources from various DePINs. It will help unleash the vast potential for DePIN collaboration, fostering the creation of novel dApps with heightened trust and composability.

Finally, by connecting to the AggLayer, the DCL can share value with other DePIN communities, bootstrap infrastructure, and access better tooling.

Polygon (previously Matic Network) is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications. MATIC is up by 1% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.7316.
