SCOR on Sweet, the rapidly growing Web3 mini-app ecosystem, announced on Wednesday, July 2nd, that it has launched its latest mini-game, Flappy Racquet, just in time for the start of Wimbledon.
In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, SCOR said the launch was inspired by the viral hit Flappy Bird, the new title brings an arcade-style twist to tennis, letting fans compete using animated avatars of their favorite tennis pros to level up game play and increase their Gem stack, which may soon be converted to $SCOR to use on real gear and experiences from pro tennis players, other mini-game upgrades, and more.
SCOR added that Flappy Racquet is launching today, with a powerhouse roster of tennis players set to be added soon. Through its licensing partnership with Winners Alliance, Sweet will incorporate several of the sport’s top stars into Flappy Racquet, including Nick Kyrgios, Aryna Sabalenka, Zhizhen Zhang, Barbora Krejcikova, Alexander Bublik, Naomi Osaka, Tommy Paul, Jasmine Paolini, Arthur Fils, Marketa Vondrousova, and more. Each player comes with unique in-game power-ups when owned by a user, offering strategic gameplay advantages and more ways to climb the leaderboards.
Soon, fans who own these characters can bring these stars into the mini-games to power up gameplay and increase their ability to stack Gems, which may soon be converted to $SCOR.
