PancakeSwap Introduces Crosschain Swaps, Powered By Across

On Wednesday, the Pancakeswap team told its community via a blog post that it has launched Crosschain Swaps, a new feature that lets users swap tokens across three blockchains (BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and Base) in just one click. PancakeSwap’s Crosschain Swaps are powered by Across, a leading intent-based bridging solution.

According to PancakeSwap, its crosschain swap comes with several features, including,

  • Built Into PancakeSwap UI: Crosschain Swaps are fully integrated into the existing PancakeSwap Swap page, no need to leave the platform.

  • One-Click Crosschain Swaps: Swap assets between chains with a single transaction. No bridging, no extra steps.

  • Fast Transactions: Transactions usually complete within seconds, often under a minute.

  • Multi-Chain Support: Swap across BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and Base. Any token with available liquidity on PancakeSwap can be seamlessly swapped across these chains.

  • Low Fees: At launch, PancakeSwap will not charge any additional fees for crosschain trading beyond the standard AMM trading fee. However, a separate bridge fee will apply, which is paid to Across Protocol relayers who facilitate the transaction.

PancakeSwap is a BNB Chain-based decentralized exchange (DEX) with an automated market maker (AMM) model for swapping BEP-20 tokens. CAKE is down 2.1% today and is currently trading at $2.524.
