On Thursday, the Sei team announced via X that native USDC and CCTP V2 by Circle are coming to the Sei network. This is a major infrastructure upgrade that unlocks seamless cross-chain value flows for the ecosystem.

The upcoming launch of native USDC & CCTP V2 on Sei's EVM brings:

  • Access to the world’s largest regulated1 stablecoin

  • Full ERC-20 standard compatibility

  • Built-in cross-chain transfers via CCTP V2

  • Access to Circle's institutional infrastructure onchain
