On Thursday, the Sei team announced via X that Model Context Protocol (MCP) is now live on the Sei blockchain. Model Context Protocol is Anthropic's open standard that allows AI systems to securely connect to data sources, tools, and services.

Sei's MCP integration enables AI systems to securely connect to Sei blockchain data and execute transactions through standard interfaces like Claude, Windsurf, and Cursor.

Sei is a high-speed Layer 1 blockchain tailored for the digital asset boom, from NFTs to DeFi. The blockchain intends to unlock a brand-new design space for consumer-facing applications. Its native coin, SEI is down 7% in the last 24 hours and is now trading at $0.2631 per coin.
