On Monday, the Wormhole team announced via X that Mezo has launched on the Wormhole blockchain. This integration enables multichain utility and expansion of Bitcoin-backed $MUSD to Ethereum with Wormhole's NTT standard.
Built as an EVM-compatible Bitcoin-centric platform, Mezo uses Threshold Network's decentralized custody infrastructure to enable Bitcoin holders to access liquidity without selling their assets. $MUSD is the first 100% Bitcoin-backed stablecoin that maintains a 1:1 peg with the US dollar.
The Wormhole integration allows seamless access to liquidity to Mezo from 40+ blockchains, with MUSD leveraging NTT to expand natively to the Ethereum mainnet.
Wormhole is a leading interoperability platform powering multichain applications and bridges at scale. Wormhole’s modular suite of open-source, permissionless protocols and tools is being used by multichain builders to create some of the most popular web3 applications.
