On Wednesday, the LayerZero team announced via X that LayerZero will be live on Monad on day one, ensuring that billions in value from top assets and applications will be available for users to swap, stake, spend, and save.
Monad mainnet will go live on November 24th. Monad is a high-performance, Layer 1 blockchain that aims to address the scalability limitations of existing networks, particularly Ethereum, while maintaining full compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Agora is extending its $170M stablecoin AUSD to Monad using the OFT Standard, enabling users to bridge on launch day without slippage. Upshift will also be launching earnAUSD, which will function as the primary liquid yield token on Monad, unlocking DeFi yield opportunities for AUSD holders.
Other protocols that will leverage LayerZero to launch on Monad include PancakeSwap, Aori, Dexalot, Euler, Gas Zip, LFG, UR, Orderly Network, Puffer Finance, Printr, WBTC, Stargate, USDT0, and XAUT0.
LayerZero is an interoperability protocol designed to facilitate seamless communication between different blockchains. It aims to create a unified, interconnected blockchain ecosystem where assets and data can move freely across various networks. ZRO trades at $1.4, up 0.7% in the last 24 hours.
