On Wednesday, Astar Network announced via a blog post that it has formed a strategic collaboration with Animoca Brands, one of the leading names in blockchain gaming and the digital property rights ecosystem.
The partnership strengthens Astar’s position as the home for entertainment and gaming projects looking to bring Japanese and Asian intellectual property (IP) onchain, focusing on scalable, consumer-facing experiences.
One of the first major initiatives stemming from this collaboration is Anime ID, powered by Moca Network. This will serve as an identity and reputation layer onchain, enabling smooth onboarding of users from web2 to web3.
Astar Network is a multi-chain dApp hub on Polkadot. The platform offers users various features, including dApp staking, L2 solutions, gas, and grants. Its native ASTR token is up 2.5% today, trading at $0.03106.
