On Tuesday, the LayerZero team announced via X that Agora, a company building enterprise-grade stablecoin infrastructure, is leveraging LayerZero to expand to five new chains.
The two entities are working together to launch AUSD0, with the stablecoin set to launch on Plasma, Sei, Berachain, Initia, and Citrea. As part of the launch, AUSD is using LayerZero’s OFT Standard for onchain issuance and global distribution.
This enables all Agora infrastructure and business lines to expand quickly to any blockchain they want, for both AUSD and white-labeled assets.
LayerZero is an interoperability protocol designed to facilitate seamless communication between different blockchains. It aims to create a unified, interconnected blockchain ecosystem where assets and data can move freely across various networks. ZRO trades at $2.10, up 12% in the last 24 hours.
